Devot:ee AcadamEE Awards 2012

The devote:ee AcademEE Awards are something I have always seen as an amazing accomplishment for the ExpressionEngine community. The winners are the developers that give back and dedicate their time to supporting the community. The fact that the votes are cast by the users only proves this further.

Eric Lamb sums this up quite well in his most recent article Eric Lamb on: Awards and Web Development:

We know that it’s Ryan Masuga and the devot:ee team, with data taken from devot:ee, who chooses the nominees. We know the actual winners are chosen by the ExpressionEngine community; people we know and who know us. There’s no secret consortium in a back room deciding this. It’s the community doing what it does best; speaking.

This year I am proud to be nominated not once, but twice for awards. I am up for Fieldtype of the Year with JW Nivo and Plugin of the Year with Simple MailChimp.

You should check out the full nominations list, and cast your vote on who you think deserves to be recognised this year.
